City & Guilds 6217 Plastering Training Course
The plastering 6217-04 provides an excellent introduction to the skills required for plastering. This industry respected and internationally recognised qualification is available to you on this intensive and flexible course to enable you to start earning as a plasterer.
The City & Guilds course is made up of 7 mandatory units:
Mandatory Units:
- Unit 016 Repairing a patch in a plastered wall
- Unit 065 Bonding and setting a ceiling in one coat
- Unit 066 Applying a floating coat to wall and attached pier
- Unit 067 Applying and finishing the setting coat to a floated wall and attached pier
- Unit 068 Applying a floating coat to a square or rectangular column
- Unit 069 Applying a floating and finishing coat to a square or rectangular column
- Unit 070 Scrim and skim finish with plaster
And then you must choose TWO of the following optional units:
Optional Units:
- Unit 017 Screeding a sand and cement floor from a given level or datum point
- Unit 018 Introduction to fixing floor tiles and skirting tiles
- Unit 072 Re-plaster over textured ceiling using bonding agent
- Unit 073 Applying a plain rendering and finish with a wood float
- Unit 074 Applying a Tyrolean hand machine finish to a prepared wall
- Unit 075 Fixing bellcast bead and applying scratch coats to wall areas
Internal and external assessors will verify you on each of these units.
