Additional Plastering Courses PGL Training offers short plastering courses taught over 1 week and ideal for those wishing to learn plastering skills. Your course will cover:- Health & Safety Left and right handed instruction using the Hawk and Trowel Tool and material discussion Wall preparation Plasterboard cutting, setting out and fixing Use of British Gypsum and Lafarge plaster board Base and finish coats Damage repair work Window reveals and pipe casings Ceilings Basic Dot and Dab plaster board theory Your course will teach you how to repair and re-skim damaged or old plastered walls and will show you the materials and procedures required. All basics to move forward and expand your knowledge. Duration: 1 week (Monday-Friday) Cost: £375.00 + VAT 1 Week Drylining and Jointing Course This drylining and jointing course has been developed to meet industry needs. Training will be centred around the installation of partition systems and metal furring ceilings. In addition the installation/cladding of plasterboard to metal timber and solid backgrounds. The jointing course concludes with hands on practical training relating to the finishing of joints and surfaces including internal and external angles. Course Content: Installation of plasterboard, internal/external angles and reveals Direct bonding of plasterboard to walls Mechanical fixing of plasterboard to timber/metal stud walls including openings/returns Measuring and cutting of materials Mixing of joint filler and cement Jointing techniques feathering and sanding down Duration: 1 week (Monday-Friday) Cost: £375.00 + VAT Metal Stud Partitioning and Suspended Ceiling Course This Metal Stud and Ceiling course provides the candidate with the opportunity to learn this relatively new technique introduced to industry. Full training will be provided on individual manufacturers' systems. Internal/external corners, openings, reveals and door/window openings. Ceiling systems will incorporate differential height, bulkheads, slopes and trimmed openings. Duration: 1 week (Monday-Friday) Cost: £375.00 + VAT
