Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) - 2377 For practical electricians to ensure familiarity with the IEE Code of Practice for in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment in respect of portable appliance testing in preparation for the City & Guilds 2377 examination. On completion of this course candidates will: - • Have gained knowledge of what needs to be tested, the procedure for testing and the type of records required. • Have been provided with hands-on practical experience in the use of selected portable appliance equipment test instruments available. Course Content: Essential and optional tests, flash & earth leakage testing, documentation (test records), test precautions, load & operations tests, class 1 and 2 testing.
