Training workshops are held at our local centre offering theory, underpinning knowledge, task assignments and candidate support.

Training is structured around the relevant NVQ portfolio.

On-Site Assessment and Training (OSAT) helps experienced workers get the qualifications to prove they can do the job. It turns their existing skills and experience into a nationally recognised qualification such as an NVQ. Having these qualifications also helps qualify them for a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card.

Duration: Maximum of 4 months

Cost: Free (funding available through Train To Gain subject to terms). Please contact centre for details.
The Experienced Worker Practical Assessment (EWPA)

It involves spending a day having your skills and knowledge assessed at our centre. This can sometimes be done at weekends.

All the skills needed to pass the NVW are included in one task, which is observed by an approved assessor.
