No, on passing the Electrical Training Part P Course, you are deemed competent as a domestic electrical installer. Basically following registration with a registration body you are able to carry out any electrical domestic work on existing and new build dwellings and self-certify this work.
Anybody who achieved the 16th Edition Electrical Training Certificate prior to 2001 are required to carry out the full 17th Edition Electrical Training along with any new entrants.
As a plasterer, you will need to pass a CSCS Health & Safety test which will provide a window of 12 months to enable you to carry on working on site. During this time you will be required to gain an NVQ level 2 in plastering. This can be carried out on site by producing a portfolio of competence alternatively most experienced workers carry out our 1 day practical assessment (EWPA).
