This is a 4 week programme providing the opportunity to achieve the above qualifications. The course includes all the underpinning knowledge both theory and practically in our well equipped classrooms and workshops.
For practical electricians to ensure familiarity with the IEE Code of Practice for in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment in respect of portable appliance testing in preparation for the City & Guilds 2377 examination.
On completion of this course candidates will: -

Essential and optional tests, flash & earth leakage testing, documentation (test records), test precautions, load & operations tests, class 1 and 2 testing.

An intensive course covering all aspects of BS7671 in preparation for the City & Guilds 2382 IEE Wiring Regulations for Electrical Installations formal examination.
On completion of this course candidates will:
Have prepared for the City & Guilds assessment examination
Understand the regulations with specific reference to the changes incorporated into BS7671

End of course assessment is by City & Guilds national examination
Please note this is a Level 3 qualification
A five day course aimed at anyone involved in the inspection and testing of electrical systems and possibly requiring certification to meet NICEIC entry criteria.
City and Guilds Certification is achieved on successful completion of both the practical assessment and written examination.
The five day course seeks to introduce a student with knowledge of the Wiring Regulations to the fundamentals of inspection and testing i.e. no previous practical experience of inspection and testing.
We strongly recommend City and Guilds 2381 is achieved prior to sitting this course, though this is NOT an entry requirement.
The assessment part of the qualification is split into two sections:
The examination is a 2.5 hour closed book paper. (Preset dates set out by City and Guilds).
The practical assessment takes approximately 4 hours.
Please note we recommend that candidates return to site following training to gain additional experience prior to practical assessment
